How to Cleanse/Clear your Crystals energy!

How do you cleanse your crystals?! 

I get this question quite often. To keep it simple there are various ways to cleanse and clear energy to natural minerals.

I Suggest you do have to be careful on which stones your thinking of cleansing, & how you clean and clear them. Some stones have soft mineral-based structures which are sensitive to light and water.

• Some of the most common stones that are known to be sensitive to light are amethyst and rainbow fluorite. These stones if left too long in the sunlight,  will fade in color.

Definitely keep an eye out for that! 
• Some of the most common stones to make sure never to soak in water are selenite and black tourmaline. these crystals have a soft structure to their growth and are easily to flake off and or disintegrate in water. 

So…… How the heck do I cleanse / Clear my crystals Energy?! 

In this blog, I am going to talk about several different ways to cleans and clear your stones! 

Cleansing crystals in the moonlight or sunlight is a common practice believed to recharge and purify their energy.

🌖🌜🌙 Moonlight Cleansing:
1. **Timing**: Ideally, cleanse during a full moon, when the moon's energy is at its peak.
2. **Preparation**: Place your crystals outside or on a windowsill where they will be bathed in moonlight.
3. **Duration**: Leave them overnight, from dusk until dawn.

☀️🌞🌅 Sunlight Cleansing:
1. **Timing**: Morning sunlight is preferred to avoid the harsh midday sun, which can fade some crystals.
2. **Preparation**: Place your crystals outside or on a windowsill in direct sunlight.
3. **Duration**: Leave them for a few hours, typically from sunrise to late morning.(be careful on which stones steer clear from leaving certain stones too long in the sun)

After cleansing, it's recommended to set your intentions with the crystals, aligning them with your personal goals.

 
💨💨💨Cleansing crystals with SAGE/Palo Santo, also known as smudging, is a traditional method to remove negative energy and purify the crystals. Here's how to do it:

⭐️Materials Needed:
- Sage bundle (white sage is commonly used)
- Fireproof dish or bowl
- Lighter or matches
- Your crystals

✨Steps:

1. **Prepare Your Space**: Open windows to allow smoke and negative energy to escape.
2. **Light the Sage**: Use a lighter or matches to ignite the tip of the sage bundle. Let it burn for a few seconds, then gently blow out the flame to create smoke.
3. **Hold the Crystal**: Take the crystal in your non-dominant hand.
4. **Smudge the Crystal**: Use your other hand to wave the sage smoke over and around the crystal. Ensure the smoke surrounds the crystal completely.
5. **Set Intentions**: While smudging, focus on your intention to cleanse and purify the crystal. You can silently or aloud state your intention.
6. **Complete the Process**: Once you feel the crystal is cleansed, extinguish the sage by pressing it into a fireproof dish. Make sure it’s completely out.

🌊🌊🌊Cleansing crystals with running water is a simple and effective method to remove negative energy and refresh their vibrational properties. Here's how to do it:

⭐️Materials Needed:
- Natural running water source (ocean, stream, river) or tap water
- Your crystals

✨ Steps:

1. **Identify Suitable Crystals**: Ensure your crystals are safe to cleanse with water. Some crystals, like selenite and malachite, can be damaged by water.

2. **Find a Water Source**: If possible, use a natural running water source like a stream or river. If this is not available, tap water will work as well.

3. **Rinse the Crystals**: Hold each crystal under the running water. If using tap water, ensure the water is cool or lukewarm, not hot.

4. **Set Intentions**: While holding the crystal under the water, visualize the negative energy washing away. You can also state your intention to cleanse and purify the crystal.

5. **Dry the Crystals**: After rinsing, gently pat the crystals dry with a clean cloth. Allow them to air dry completely.

⛏️🌎🍃🌱Cleansing crystals by burying them in the ground is a traditional method believed to reconnect the crystals with the Earth's natural energies and remove negative vibrations. Here's how to do it:

⭐️Materials Needed:
- A clean spot of sand , soil or earth (your garden or a potted plant)
- Your crystals
- A marker or small flag (optional, to mark the burial spot)

✨Steps:

1. **Choose a Suitable Spot**: Find a clean, undisturbed spot in your garden or use a large potted plant if outdoor space is not available.

2. **Prepare the Crystals**: Ensure the crystals are safe to bury. Some delicate or porous crystals might not be suitable for this method.

3. **Dig a Hole**: Create a small hole in the ground, deep enough to cover your crystals completely.

4. **Set Intentions**: Before burying the crystals, hold them in your hands and set your intentions for cleansing and purification.

5. **Bury the Crystals**: Place the crystals in the hole and cover them with soil. If desired, mark the spot with a small flag or marker to easily find the crystals later.

6. **Leave Them**: Let the crystals remain buried for at least 24 hours, or longer if you feel it’s needed. The natural Earth energies will cleanse and recharge them.

7. **Retrieve the Crystals**: After the cleansing period, carefully dig up the crystals. Rinse off any dirt with water (if safe for the specific crystal) and pat them dry.

These are just some of the ways I love to clear and cleanse my natural stones energy! 

•You can also cleanse crystals with other crystals for example, selenite is a huge stone known to clear and cleanse other stones as well as natural citrine! Simply putting your crystal jewelry on top of the stones will help clear and clean its energy
